CLAIRE THOMPSON ART

HAPPY ART

I’m a painter and mixed-media artist based in London, originally from Yorkshire. My work is a celebration of travel, nature, and everyday beauty — filled with joyful colour, texture, and energy.

I paint intuitively and in the moment, often alongside my children in our lively kitchen, where creativity, cooking, and conversation all flow together. Painting is my therapy and my joy — a way to rest my mind and find presence.

My art is inspired by the vibrant palettes of Mexico and Morocco, the calm of the Lake District and Scottish Highlands, and the familiar comfort of Yorkshire. I work with oils, pastels, chalks, and Posca pens, layering earthy and bright tones to create depth and warmth.

I use art as a tool for connection and healing, both personally and professionally, integrating creativity into my work as a therapist in addiction recovery.

My collections — including the Mexican Colour Series, Morocco Cactus Series, and Switzerland Mountain Villages — explore presence, joy, and wonder through colour.

Happy art for real homes.
